Join us in the evening on Saturday, October 1st for APANO's Statewide Convention Banquet. We will be celebrating the Biennial Statewide Convention festivities from earlier that day and reflecting on the issues most important for Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Oregon as we enter into the 2017 election season.
We're excited to announce keynote speakers Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarsinha and Kathy Jetnil-Kijiner for the evening. Leah and Kathy will join us for a keynote-in-conversation on diaspora and displacement, issues that intersect with the API community from climate justice to disability justice, and the role of art and culture in movement building. For more information about the keynote speakers, please visit our website here: apanorollingtides.org/schedule/keynote-speakers/. Informal mingling to take place following the dinner banquet and conversation.
