From the time where Asians and Pacific Islanders have been denied the right to vote, our communities and families have always fought for recognition and visibility. Our shared history is one of pushing back against discrimination, challenging exclusionary laws and policies, and advocating directly for the needs of our communities.
In this major election year, our vote can truly make a difference as the API population continues to grow across Oregon.
APANO is hosting a special event to learn more about what is on the ballot this year -- with build-your-own boba tea! This event is meant for any Asian and Pacific Islander community members, whether you are a current APANO member or not. This is a direct way to become more civically engaged. Come and learn about the major issues that voters will be voting on, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussion. We will also be sharing copies of our APANO Voter Guide (available in multiple languages) and additional voter education resources!
Boba and light refreshments will be provided and childcare will be available with 1 week advance notice.
