APANO Advocacy Training - East Portland

Join APANO as we prepare for our 2017 Day of Action in the capitol! On Monday, February 20, APANO will bring together Asian and Pacific Islanders from across Oregon to meet in Salem and talk with their elected officials about the issues that impact them. To prepare for our Day of Action, join us in East Portland on Wednesday, February 1 to hear about our efforts, how you can be an advocate for issues you care about, and how you can get involved. Even if you cannot be in Salem on February 20, this is a great opportunity to learn how to turn your story and the issues in your community into effective advocacy to influence how laws are made in Oregon. Dinner will be provided. Childcare and interpretation available with 1 week advance notice.

This training is intended for Asians and Pacific Islanders in Oregon. If you are an ally looking to get involved, we recommend checking out opportunities with some of our partners (such as NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon, Family Forward Oregon, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon, ACLU of Oregon, One Oregon Coalition, Stable Homes for Oregon Families Coalition and the Fair Shot For All Coalition).
